Big Mansions Updatr
Hey Mansionsaholics, we’ve got a bunch of cool stuff coming up. First of all, some shows!
May 12 - Seattle, WA - El Corazon (full band)
May 17 - Akron, OH - Musica (headline acoustic)
May 18 - Philadelphia, PA - The Barbary (headline acoustic)
May 19 - Hamden, CT - The Space (acoustic w/ William Beckett)

May 21 - Chapel Hill, NC - Local 506 (acoustic w/ William Beckett)
Secondly, we are currently writing a new record. We’re about 7 or 8 songs into it, and more are coming all the time. And when I say 7 or 8 songs, I mean 7 or 8 fully developed songs that will probably be on the record. It’s not like when bands go “wE hAvE aBoUt 40 sOnGz wRiTtEn fOr ThE nEw rEcOrD!!” Oh please, a 20 second clip of you noodling on guitar in garageband doesn’t count as a song. If you wanna know how many terrible ideas we’ve written in the past few months that haven’t gone anywhere, there are literally hundreds. But in there, we’ve found a few gems, and I think y’all are gonna like em. I think they’re a step forward, and it is very exciting. No firm recording plans as of right now - we gotta write the songs first - but we will keep you posted as things develop.
One of the new songs has already been recorded and will be out in a few months as part of a really cool release that will be announced soon, keep yer peepers peeled.
Thanks for the support, seriously. It may seem quiet in the Mansions world right now, but we’re just getting things ready, like shaking up a coke can before the big release or some other half-baked metaphor. Please come out to these shows and say wassup, we’ll probably try out a bunch of new songs, but let us know if there’s anything specific you wanna hear. And please reblog/retweet/refriendster if you do that sort of thing, it goes a long way.
